Kildorrery U21s well-beaten by Clyda Rovers
KILDORRERY under-21 footballers lost out to Clyda Rovers in the first round of the Under 21B Football Championship in Castletownroche on Saturday.
Clyda, wind assisted, led at the break by 0-10 to 0-4.
Kildorrery tried very hard to get back on terms on the changeover, but Clyda’s defence held firm.
In the end, Clyda Rovers emerged winners by 0-14 to 0-6.
Kildorrery lined out as follows: Tony Watson, John Hunter, PJ Keating, Mattie Walsh- O’Grady, Kevin Noonan, Ian Butler (0-1), David Hunter, Dylan Kent, Anthony Crowley, Kieran Hurley, Cathal Harrington (0-3f ), Timmy O’Sullivan, Sean Cunningham, Paddy Pigott, and Sean Watson (0-2).
Their subs were: Richie Hurley for Kieran Hurley; Pierce Pigott for Timmy O’Sullivan; Michael Caplice for Sean Watson; Declan Mullins for Cathal Harrington; and Darren Caplice for Anthony Crowley.
Galtee Gaels had a good win in the delayed 2018 South Limerick Intermediate Football Championship final on Saturday in Kilbreedy. The final score was 1-10 to 0-9 against Bruff.
