PARADE
With St Patrick’s Day just over one week away, preparations are now being finalised for the annual parade which takes place after the 11 a.m. Mass. Prior to Mass, shamrock will be available free of charge at the church entrance.
The parade will again be led by the Cullen Pipe Band, to whom the organising committee are extremely grateful. St Patrick himself, grand marshal and flag bearers. Vintage cars and tractors will follow along with all the various clubs and businesses in the area.
Afterwards, everyone is invited to the hall for some light refreshments and entertainment. Another colourful occasion assured.

SCHOOL WIN
Congratulations to the local Comprehensive School senior football team who have reached the all-Ireland final which is scheduled to take place on Saturday, March 23.

FASHION SHOW
The local Pearse Memorial Hall committee are holding a fundraising fashion show on Thursday, March 14, commencing at 7.30 p.m. in the hall.
The evening commences with a cheese and wine reception at 7 p.m. and tickets costing €10 each are available at the post office.
All welcome – your support will be appreciated – the parish hall is such an important part of social life in the area and deserving of your help in any way.
MUSIC ROOM
On this Thursday, March 7, Eileen Kiely from the Millstreet Gramophone circle will be the presenter in the Music Room in the hall at 8 p.m. start. This is Eileen’s first presentation in Boher and the organisers eagerly await her musical choices. Everyone welcome and new presenters are kindly greeted.
TIDY TOWNS AGM
The Boherbue Tidy Towns committee annual general meeting takes place in the hall on Monday night, March 11, at 8 p.m.
This meeting will review the activities of the past year and discuss plans for the year ahead.
The committee welcome new members on board – their work over the past year is notable and they are to be complimented on the progress made.
