On this Saturday, March 9, Gneevguill­a Athletic Club present the 4k Rathmore to Rathmore road race. Starting time is 11.30 a.m. with entries from 10 a.m. at the starting line at the entrane to Claren Wood Estate.

The race will travel via the Bog Road, Mill Cross and Main Road to the finish and prizegivin­g ceremony at the Bridge Bar. Entry fee is: adults €10, students €5, with categories for men, ladies, seniors, masters, juniors, under-23, 16, 14 and 12. Refreshmen­ts afterwards at the Bridge Bar.
