Help form a community plan for Liscarroll

IN Liscarroll, community planning begins on Tuesday next, March 19, at 8pm in the local community centre.

Everyone from the community is invited to attend over the course of three nights (once a month) and contribute to the development of the plan.

“Your contribution is very important to ensure that everybody is represented in the community and the plan works for all,” said a community council spokesperson.

There will be representatives from Ballyhoura Development and other facilitators who will be running the event in conjunction with the community council.

“By developing a socio economic plan, our community will benefit from a clear roadmap as to what are our aims and objectives over the next three years and what we need to do to achieve these goals,” added the spokesperson.

“Some of the benefits of Socio Economic plan will include bringing the community together, development of a shared vision, information gathering and improvement of local communications.”

The three nights planned are Tuesday 19th March, Tuesday 9th April and Tuesday 7th May 2019. Refreshments will be served on the night.

The community council have also signed up for the Annual Spring Clean and refuse bags, gloves and hi-vis vests are available. If you wish to avail of these or wish to organise a clean up of your area/stretch of road please contact us.
