Workshops to help Cork SMEs grow and thrive

-

VODAFONE Ireland and the Small Firms Association (SFA), will host a ‘Smart Business’ regional workshop in Cork to help businesses understand the mechanisms to grow, scale and succeed in a changing business environment.

One of five events, these workshops will enable business leaders in surrounding areas to have a conversation with human resource, business growth experts and peers about the challenges faced by SMEs and to help them stay competitive; increase revenue; and attract and retain top talent through the adoption of smart working practices.

The SFA will introduce their new engage and grow framework, and there will be experts on hand to discuss the HR and technology requirements to transform traditional workplaces into smarter, digital businesses.

Head of Commercial at Vodafone Ireland Treasa Doran said: “We believe that smart or flexible working is the next frontier for SMEs – particularly in attracting and retaining top talent, reducing costs and increasing productivity.

“Cork city has become a real incubator for start-up firms and in order for these businesses to survive and grow, there needs to be a collective focus on how SMEs can remain competitive.”

She did point out that, from their research, they found that “not all SMEs have access to the knowledge and solutions required to take advantage of initiatives such as smart working.”

“This workshop therefore provides an opportunity for both new and established leaders to understand how to ensure their business can remain sustainable.”

The breakfast event will take place in Republic of Work on Thursday, March 21, from 7.30am.
