Get involved in the Macroom St Patrick’s Day Parade

THE organising committee of St. Patrick’s Day Parade has put together the usual high-quality Parade that is synonymous with St Patrick’s Day in Macroom featuring music, dance, marching groups, clubs and Cork Circus Factory entertaining us with their exciting acts throughout the day.

The committee are appealing to all clubs, organisations and businesses in Macroom and the Lee Valley to participate in this year’s parade. By doing so it will help to promote your club / business and also help the organisers to make the parade more attractive and enjoyable to watch and we are hopeful that everyone will get involved in making this parade a very worthwhile community event.

There is a huge cost involved in organising the parade and we would like to thank our main sponsor Blarney Macroom Municipal District Council and our local sponsors for their financial support. Sincere thanks to the Council outdoor staff, An Garda Siochána and all our volunteers for your help in coordinating and making the St. Patrick’s Day Parade such a success.

Remember it costs nothing to enter and what better way to advertise for free with over 5,000 people in attendance. St. Patrick’s Day Macroom - Parade commences at 3.30pm, Programme of Events Featuring - Cullen Pipe Band, St. Coleman’s N.S. Brass Band. Pre-Parade - 2pm Live music in the Square with Tim Joe & Anne, 2.45pm Exhibition by the O’Sullivan School of Irish Dancing. 2.50pm

Cork Circus Factory – Circus and Street Art, 3.30pm St. Patrick’s Day Parade. Post Parade – Féis, Monster Céilí - weather permitting, Live music in Bars. Main Sponsor – Blarney / Macroom Municipal District.
