Kanturk’s champion boxers in action on Monday next

THE Kanturk Boxing Club are being kept busy for the first quarter of the year.

Between claiming titles in the recent County Championships, which were held in the Cork County Boxing Board Headquarters very recently, to University International Glory, and now their turning the focus in on their own tournament, which will be held this coming Bank Holiday Monday, March 18th in Castlemagner Community Hall from 3pm.

Recently, the boxing club, located on Mill Road picked up a record six County titles; with Aaron O’Keeffe, Byron Buckley, Leah O’Keeffe, Ewan McConville, Katie O’Keeffe and John O’Brien advancing easily into the upcoming Munster Championships which will be held in the coming weeks.

More recently, last week Chloe O’Keeffe reclaimed her IATBA University Title in the High-Performance Dublin under her University Boxing Club of the University of Limerick.

The Kanturk BC now turn their attention to this coming Patricks Weekend, and more exclusively to their home tournament which they have decided to host in the Castlemagner Community Hall on Monday, March 18th. The tournament will see the newly claimed County Champions, and National Champion, as well as act as a debut for other club members.

There will be boxers of all ages from clubs across Munster, and is set to be a great afternoon of entertainment!
