It’s tight all the way in Blackwater Valley Darts League
IN the Blackwater Valley Darts league Horgan’s were at home to the Bridge House.
The home side took the lead with Chris Holmes defeating Colm Cahill 3-0. The Bridge upped a gear and the next three games with Alan Foley defeating Patrick Holmes, Eddie O’Rourke defeated Adrian Holmes 3-1 and Damian Carey overcame Mikey Bowles 3-2.
The home team responded with Robert Harrington defeating Nicky Sherman 3-1 and Mike Dunlea defeating Jason Carey 3-1.
All square the singles.
In the doubles Eddie O’Rourke and three games a piece after Alan Foley defeated Adrian Holmes and Robert Harrington 3-2. Chris Holmes and Mike Dunlea defeated Nicky Sherman and Damian Carey 3-0.
Final result: Horgan’s 4 -4 House.
Daly’s travelled to Kit Roches for their encounter which was expected to be a close contest and it turned out to be just that.
The home team got off to a great start winning the first two games. Raymond Harrington defeated Gerry Black 3-0 and Mark Lenahan defeated Sean Mc Gann 3-0. Brendan Mathews defeated Daniel Linehan 3-0 to get Dalys on the score sheet. Bridge
Kit Roches struck again in the next two games with Aaron Ryan defeating Tony Harnett 3-0 and Kevin Lenahan defeating Johnny Holland 3-1. Darren Lynch defeated Chris O’Toole 3-1. Kit Roches 4 – 2 Dalys after the singles.
Daly’s needed both doubles to share the spoils and they succeeded in doing so with Brendan Mathews and Gerry Black defeating Raymond Harrington and Kevin Lenahan 3-1. Darren Lynch and Johnny Holland defeating Aaron Ryan and Mark Lenahan 3-2. Final result: Kit Roches 4 – 4 Daly’s. Kilbrin Social Club were at home to Corkery’s for their fixture.
The home team struck first with Mikey O’Connor defeating Peter Heslin 3-0. Dave O’Leary defeated Pat Healy 3-0 to level it. Alan Mullane defeated Will O’Shea 3-0 to put Kilbrin in front.
Stephen Connolly defeated Alex Mc Carthy 3-2 to level it. Tim O’Sullivan defeated Mick Kennedy 3-2 to put Corkery’s in front. Johnny Lynch defeated Pa Lucey 3-0 to level it again.
Three games a piece after the singles. In the doubles Mikey O’Connor and Johnny Lynch defeated Dave O’Leary and Stephen Connolly 3-0. Alan Mullane and Alex Mc Carthy overcame Tim O’Sullivan and Stephen Cronin 3-2.
