CURRENT TRAINING SCHEDULE: U12 – Friday 6 – 7pm indoors, bring €2, runners and gum shields. U14 – Wednesday – 67pm indoors, bring €2 runners and gum shields. U16 – Tuesday – 6.30 – 7.30pm outdoors, don’t forget gum-shields. Minors, U21 and Juniors – tbc by weekly texts. U8 & U10 – date and time to be confirmed.
CLOTHES COLLECTION and COFFEE MORNING–Kilshannig Ladies Football Club will hold their Annual Clothes Collection and Coffee Morning fund-raiser on Saturday 6th April from 10am – 1pm. The date is fast approaching so it’s time to start filling those bags. More details to follow.
RESULTS: The U14s won their opening league game in Glantane last Sunday in very cold and wet conditions. Well done to Killavullen on a superb display of football. Thanks to all the girls on both teams for a wonderful game. A great start to the year. The U16s lost out to Mourneabbey in their opening league game under lights in Mourneabbey last Thursday. Congratulations to Mourneabbey and well done to both teams for a playing in on a cold March night. The Juniors travelled to Rostellan on Sunday in their opening County League campaign against Kinsale and again the game was played in extremely challenging conditions. They lost out by the narrowest of margins.
FIXTURES: U21 County Championship will contest the preliminary round of this years County Championship against Rosscarberry. This game is confirmed for Monday 19th March at 2.30pm in Roscarberry. Please support the ladies.
U16 MUNSTER CHAMPIONSHIP: Kilshannig would like to wish Alana Gould and all the Cork U16 panel the best of luck in the opening round of the 2019 Munster Championship when their opponents will be Tipperary. The game will be played in Castletownroche this Saturday 16th March at 1pm. Please go along and show your support in this local venue.
REGISTRATIONS are now overdue. All Players, Trainers and Mentors must complete and return their registration forms with the appropriate fee as soon as possible. Registration Forms are available from all team trainers.
SYMPATHIES: Kilshannig LGFC would like to extend their sincere sympathies to the Cremin Family, Bweeng on the death of Mrs Bridget Cooke, Carrick-onSuir, grandmother of our Club Secretary Marie, Club Pro Geraldine and great grandmother of Eimear. We would also like to extend our sincere sympathies to the O’Dea Family Dromahane on the death of Jimmy O’Dea.
