The Duhallow U21CFC final v Robert Emmets is currently fixed for Friday March 15th 8pm in Glantane ..Please check club social media for any changes if they are made. Best of luck to all involved. The hurlers are due to commence their 2019 league campaign on Saturday March 16th at 4pm in Rathcoole v Kilbrin. .Please check club social media if any changes. BOWLING NOTES

DENIS HORGAN BOWLING CLUB-Winter Competitions-Ned Kelleher and Mikie McAuliffe combined well together to record a last shot win over Eugene O Sullivan and Aaron Mackey. However in the next score, there was a reversal of fortunes, when O Sullivan and Mackey had a bowl of odds to spare over Kelleher and McAuliffe. Maurice Cashman and Mikie McAulife had a win over Danny Murphy and John Breen in a last shot play off. Aaron Mackey and Danny Murphy and Mikie McAuliffe had a last shot win over Ned Kelleher and Maurice Cashman and John Breen.

SYMPATHY: The death occured recently of Richie O’Connell, Glantane. A member of the Gortroe bowling club in the 80’s, he competed in the various competitions that were held at that time. He was a great follower of the local players, going to many of their scores, sometimes traveling great distances. He had many interest’s, card playing, rings, darts, pool. He kept up to date on current affairs, had a keen interest in reading newspapers and books and an avid follower of sport on TV. To his family, neighbours and many friends, the bowling fraternity would like to extend their deepest sympathies. May he rest in peace.
