Fire and safety to the fore in Millstreet

-

ONLY the best reach Croke Park, and Millstreet-based Munster Fire and Safety did so as it was awarded the coveted Business All-Star Accreditation Award.

At a gala ceremony, the annual Business All-Stars Awards recognise Irish companies and entrepreneurs that have distinguished themselves in their line of business over the last year.

Joint business-owner Claire O’Leary said the Business All-Star is an independently verified standard mark for businesses based on rigorous criteria such as performance, trust and customer centricity.

“To be recognised in this way by achieving a Business All-Star is fantastic for us,” she said.

“We have worked very hard to establish Munster Fire and Safety as a leading provider of fire and safety products and services, and to get external affirmation on how well we’re doing is very gratifying and flattering.”

Claire and her husband, William, founded the company and she paid tribute to the team.

“Getting to this point in our business is very much down to a team effort; we have a great bunch of people working with us, and we are very thankful to each and every one of them for their commitment and support.”

Eighty-five companies became Business All-Stars at the ceremony. Dr Hynes of the Kemmy Business School at UL co-chaired the adjudication panel and stated that the accreditation provided very important credible and transparent benchmarking, allowing companies to very clearly understand where they are versus their competitors.

There has been a dramatic increase in the number of Irish companies seeking the unique quality mark.

The accreditation is now held by 300 firms and is required by thousands of small and medium businesses which operate to their own standards but have nothing to measure them by.

Munster Fire and Safety provides a full range of fire and safety products including fire extinguishers (sales and service); workwear; safety footwear; hi-vis wear; rain gear; ear and eye protection; and gloves.

They are exclusive agents for a number of innovative European brands and are planning for rapid expansion over the next five years.
