To the Cullen Pipe Band we say ‘thanks again’ your presence is such an important part of the parade. To the Grand Marshal Fran Alveras, a native of Chile but now residing at his home in Laharn, flag bearers, Tony Walsh, who travelled from Belfast and a quartet from Southern India all now living and working in the area, namelt Simon, Cyril, Ness and Sigo we say thanks and well done. And of course St Patrick himself (Tom Sheahan) who gave his blessing as he walked by.

Afterwards, in the hall, all were treated to some light refreshments and hot food plus a host of musical entertainment that was really appreciated by an attendance that were simply in no hurry to leave, such was high standard and craic.

Committee chairman Donal Aherne acted as MC and in his address he paid tribute to all involved in a day that was thoroughly enjoyed by one and all. He thanked the Hall Committee, SuperValu and the Chapel View restaurant and Margaret Kiely, NT, who assumed the role of musical director for the day and to all the children who participated on stage.
