KANTURK Library presents a writers’ workshop with author Denyse Woods, starting on 5th April from 11am-1pm.

COMMUNITY PLANNING MEETING

IRD Duhallow will be hosting a community planning meeting on Wednesday, 3rd April in the Edel Quinn Hall, Kanturk.

It is extremely important that every community group is represente­d as the meeting will look at the developmen­t of future plans for Kanturk.

ST PIO MASS

MONTHLY mass in honour of St Pio is in St Joseph’s Church, Lismire on Wednesday 3rd April at 8pm. Everyone welcome.

DAFFODIL DAY COFFEE MORNING

SINCERE thanks for all who supported our recent coffee morning for Daffodil Day.

RESULTS from the Denis Horgan Social Road Bowling Club winter competitio­n:

Dean Sexton and Aaron Mackey beat Ned Kelleher and Eugene O’Sullivan by a bowl of odds. Mickey McAuliffe and Joanne Murphy beat Danny Murphy and John Breen by a bowl of odds.

Ned Kelleher and Eugene O’Sullivan beat Dean Sexton and Aaron Mackey by a bowl of odds. Ned Kelleher and Joanne Murphy beat Danny Murphy and Aaron Mackey for the last shot and also beat Micky McAuliffe and Maurice Cashman for the last shot.

KANTURK SOCCER CLUB’S LOTTO DRAW

THERE was no winner of the Jackpot in Kanturk Soccer Club’s Lotto Draw for Saturday 23rd March.

The numbers drawn were 29, 10, 47, 9 and the Bonus Number was 12. Winner of the bonus number draw for €40 was Bam Bam, St Patricks Place, Kanturk. Lucky Dip winners of €15 each were Maura Fallon, Kanturk; Bebhinn Mernagh, Castlemagn­er; Gerry Greaney Car Wash Spar, John McCarthy, Kilbrien, Noelle Crowley, 17 Cul na Greine, Seamus Mernagh c/o Kathleen.

The Venue for next week’s draw will be The Stand Bar, The Square, Kanturk.
