A long history of innovation at Husqvarna

CHEAP, attractive, simple and subtle is just some of the ways one can describe solar lights in the garden.

The secret is not to buy solar lights and just plonk them in the middle of the garden. Instead, place them strategically in places where they will have the most impact. For example, why not place them along garden pathways, driveways, walkways, flower and vegetable beds?

Many people tend to locate garden lights where they think they are best suited during daylight hours. But by surveying your garden at night, I bet you’ll discover areas that can be lit up so beautifully that you never even thought possible.

The secret is to locate the lights in a mapping formation around focal points in the garden which will make them stand out at night. Another cost-effective trick is to use empty glass jars. Simply work a piece of wire around the rim of the jar, ending with a loop that can be hung on the branch of a tree. Pop a small candle into the jar and you have a beautiful light. The more jars you accumulate, the more attractive the spectacle. However, this method is best for mid-summer.

Take note of places in your garden where the addition of solar lights will help extend those wonderful evenings once summer arrives. SINCE 1689, Husqvarna has manufactured high performing products including chainsaws, trimmers, ride-on lawnmowers and have delivered industry-changing innovations such as anti-vibration and automatic chain-break on chainsaws, as well as the world’s first commercial robotic mower.

In 1995, the Husqvarna robotic lawnmower, a machine beyond its time, was born. It is easy to forget that the world was still getting to grips with the concept of the internet at the same time the Husqvarna Automower was making its first journey around the garden, unassisted and unrivalled as the world’s first commercialised, fully robotic lawnmower.

Twenty years on, the robotic lawnmower still excels on the lawn, quietly and efficiently saving you time to do other things.

Since its birth, the Husqvarna Automower has truly evolved both in its name and its capabilities. Automower now takes on steep 45% climbs, works in any weather condition, powers along silently and can even be remote controlled by a mobile application.
