School days over for class of ‘19

-

BEST wishes for the upcoming state exams and the journey through life was extended to the Millstreet Community School Leaving Certificate class of 2019 at their graduation, after an impressive ceremony.

Parents, family and staff gathered to celebrate the culmination of six years marked by many achievements along the way.

On hand to salute their convening on a special night and extend best wishes was Bishop of Kerry Ray Browne.

Proceedings opened with a Mass, and music and song added to an already special occasion.

The students’ diverse and varied school experience was highlighted by a slideshow, recalling the huge number of events they were involved in, from sport to projects to school trips and voluntary work over the years.

Having immersed themselves in all opportunities to learn, grow and develop, Principal Pól Ó Síodhcháin encouraged students to recognize this in themselves as they faced future challenges, and to continue to be confident and ambitious.

Bishop Browne wished the students well on their journey in life, and Canon John Fitzgerald spoke of the importance of students continuing to be supportive of one another, to remember the bonds of friendship, and to support each other in future challenges.

Best wishes are extended to participants in both the Junior Certificate and Leaving Certificate Examinations, beginning next Wednesday. It is the culmination of a number of years of study, and the exams open the door for new horizons.
