CHURCH NEWS
MONTH OF MAY – The month of May is dedicated to Our Blessed Lady. The Rosary will be recited at the grotto in the church Yard in Ballyhea every morning during the month of May at 9.40 a.m. on Weekdays and at 10.40 a.m. on Sundays.
CONFIRMATION – Congratulations to the 36 boys and girls of fifth class and sixth class from Ballyhea National School, who received the Sacrament of Confirmation on Thursday, May 23, by Bishop William Crean.
POST-EASTER BLESSING OF HOMES – If you would like to have your home blessed, please leave your name and contact telephone number into the sacristy so that a suitable time may be arranged or contact 086 3016859.
CATHOLIC VOICE – The Catholic Voice is on sale in the porch of the church for €1. Association for Church Archives of Ireland Calendars are on sale in the church Porch at €5 each.
SCHOOL/PARISH HALL
Those, who received the special envelopes for the school/ community hall are kindly asked to return these as soon as possible. The parish wishes to announce that the contract for the building of the School/Parish Hall has been awarded to John Ronan.
FIGHT FOR FIONN
Fight for Fionn is a charity set up to raise funds for Fionn Barry, a four-year-old boy from Ballyhea, who has a seriously debilitating and life limiting illness and needs 24-hour care. Currently development is under way to upgrade his home. A number of fundraisers are ongoing. CUL CAMPS
The GAA club will host the Kellogg’s Cúl Camp from July 15 to July 19. Further details to follow.
MEN ON THE MOVE
Ballyhea Men on the Move continues every Monday and Thursday in the gym of the new complex at 7.30 p.m. in Ballyhea GAA Club. All ages (currently ranging from 30’s to 60’s) and all levels of fitness are catered for. Participants from outside the parish are also welcome. Please come along and try it out.
