CARRIGANIM­ANS FUNDRAISER

This fundraiser is in aid of Carriganim­a Childcare Centre. A Race Night will be held in The Pub, Carriganim­a on Saturday June 15 at 8.30pm. Sponsored by Rings Garage, Carriganim­a. Facilities for childcare near a school are so important nowadays, so your support will be much appreciate­d. It should also be a great social night out. Everyone welcome

FAMINEGRAV­EYARDMASS

The annual commemorat­ive Mass for all those who are buried in Carraig a Staighre was celebrated last Monday evening by Fr. Wickham. Although it was quite chilly a large crowd attended including the ‘youthful’ Eugene O’Riordan who recently celebrated his 103rd birthday. The choir as usual were in good voice. Fr. Wickham thanked all who helped in any way to keep this important parish event a top priority, especially Bridget, the O’Callaghan Family, Johnny and the Developmen­t Group. Well done to all.

CLONDROHID­DEVGROUP

All is in full swing with this group, cleaning , planting weeding, getting ready for the Tidy Towns. Thanks to all who help the Group with this important task, The village is divided into different sections and each section has a person in charge. All these extra people make life a bit easier for the Group. Thanks also to our new C.E. worker Con. It would be great to see some of the younger generation getting involved. Anyone interested in giving a helping hand can get in touch with any committee member or drop in to Maria at Post Office.

This 10th annual event takes place on Thursday June 20 at 8pm. All surplus funds are donated to ARC Cork Cancer Support. To date €231,417 has been raised. Walk, jog or run or just come out and enjoy a great social event,

Deasy’s Pharmacy in Ballyvourn­ey sponsored a First Aid Bag full to the brim with supplies to the Underage section of Clondrohid GAA Club last week. A big thank you to Deasy’s Pharmacy & especially Sinead who made the presentati­on to some of the underage players
