North Cork Business & Tourism Awards
DEADLINE FOR ENTRIES IS THIS FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 6
WITH this Friday’s deadline for the inaugural North Cork Business & Tourism Awards almost upon us, organisers Cork County Council and partners AIB and The Corkman have issued a reminder to businesses not to delay submitting their entries.
“So far we’ve had a wide range of businesses entering across the categories including both small and bigger companies, some new businesses and some well established ones too” said Siobhan Murphy from The Corkman.
She continued: “Interestingly, the category with the fewest entries to date is Best Marketing Initiative, which is surprising as there are so many businesses in North Cork who market themselves brilliantly. Great marketing can mean anything from a new logo or branding, a social media campaign, an ad campaign in the newspaper or on-line, to a new strand to your business that’s bringing additional customers. Anything that you’re doing to promote your business in a way that’s clever, interesting and of course successful!”
There are 11 Awards categories in total, of which Best Marketing Initiative is one. Others include Best Use of Digital, Best Customer Service and Best Artisan Food Producer.
The category winners and the overall Business of the Year 2019 winner will be announced at a gala awards ceremony to be held in November.
Entrants are encouraged to enter up to two Awards to give themselves the best chance of becoming a finalist, where they stand to gain a lot of free publicity, including a profile article and photograph in a special North Cork Business & Tourism Awards supplement to be published in The Corkman in November, ahead of the final.
Businesses can enter the North Cork Business & Tourism Awards at www.corkcountybusinessandtourismawards.ie or by picking up an entry form from The Corkman or their local AIB branch or by calling 085 – 742 2294.
