Clare to be Belle of ‘Star Nation’ final

A CORK singer/songwriter flying the flag for Munster in a new all Ireland talent contest is looking for votes to help her win the national title.

Clara Belle Harte - whose stage name is Clare Belle - from Timoleague, has won the right to represent her province in the Star Nation Talent Contest sponsored by fast food chain, Four Star Pizza.

Her self-penned song ‘City - I love u’ is a reflection on the time she spent in the capital.

“I was living there when I started writing it and I suppose it’s a love letter to the city,” she remarked.

“I had most of my growth experience­s there ad it’s about that feeling of the city when you can be nostalgic for.

She has already won a one day recording session in Dublin’s renowned Windmill Lane Recording Studios, where global stars such as David Bowie, Ladie Gaga, U2 and the Rolling Stones have cut chart topping albums.

For the past two years Clare Belle has been writing, producing and performing her own material. She had previously studied in Dublin and had pursued an acting career.

Now Clare Belle is gearing up to perform at the grand final showcase gig on September 29 at one of Dublin’s best known live venues, Whelan’s.

Music fans now have until September 26 ,to vote for Clara Belle to be crowned as the overall winner of the competitio­n, and can do so by going to Four Star Pizza’s social media pages or by using the voucher code Star 4 for Munster when making their next order.

The winner of the competitio­n stands to win €3,000 worth of equipment from Music Maker, the Irish store for musicians and recording artists.

Clare Bell will be vying with Daly, a rap artist from Dublin, Galway punk band, Turnstiles and singer songwriter Riley Holland from Newtownard­s, Co. Down, for the title.
