SATURDAY, 7th September, 10am: Town Clean-up for Enterprise Town Competitio­n

The final clean-up of the town for the Enterprise Town competitio­n will take place from 10am to 12 midday on Saturday the 7th in preparatio­n for the judging, which will take place Monday morning (9th of September). Sunday, 8th September, 3pm: E. Tarrant & Sons Duhallow Junior A hurling final Newmarket V Kilbrin in Tullylease. Saturday, 14th September, 12pm to 6pm: Afternoon Tea Party for Cancer Connect

An Afternoon Tea Party in aid of Cancer Connect will be held at the home of Jerry and Rita Guiney, Killowen, Newmarket on September 14th from 12 to 6pm.

Cancer Connect is a service where patients are transporte­d from their homes to various hospitals for treatment. Let’s try and make this difficult time a little easier for them by supporting the above charity. Everyone welcome. Friday, 20th September, 10:30am: Coffee Morning for Marymount Hospice

A coffee morning will be held on Friday 20th September in Hourigan’s

Lounge, High Street, Newmarket in aid of Marymount Hospice from 10.30am to 1.00pm. Your support will be greatly appreciate­d. Friday, 20th September, 9pm: Rambling House at Scully’s Bar

As part of the country wide Culture Night initiative the team behind Scullys Fest will be running their Rambling House again this year. A host of talented local singers took to the floor last year, with a smattering of poetry and recitation thrown in for good measure. Sure to be a great night again this year.

Higgins at Safari’s Niteclub

Love Island Star, Maura Higgins will be appearing in Safari’s Niteclub. Tickets can be purchased online or at the door. More informatio­n can be found on their Facebook page.

Friday, 4th October: Pink Ribbon Day A range of merchandis­e will be on sale throughout town for Pink Ribbon day: Ribbons, pens, etc.

All proceeds go towards the Irish Cancer Society, a very worthy cause. Your help and support can make a really big difference and will be greatly appreciate­d.
