HURLING FOR HOSPICE

More than €3,800 was raised by parents of St Mark’s juvenile club charity hurling morning last Saturday. It was held in conjunction with Ireland’s Biggest Coffee Morning for Hospice.

Some 280 children took part in the event, which was held in the GAA grounds. All the children who took part each received a certificate marking the event and their participation. The morning started with a parade of the grounds by the U6s and U8s led by the Newmarket Pipe Band.

A very big thank you to all those who made the event such a success. As well as the parents and the children, special thanks must go to Newmarket Pipe Band for making the parade so special for the kids, Event Trax, Newmarket and Kanturk Printers. All Proceeds from the event will go to Marymount Hospice, Cork People can still donate online with iDonate.ie accessed through the Meelin GAA Facebook page
