KILLAVULLEN VINTAGE RUN
The annual vintage run will take place on Sunday, September 22, departing from the Community Hall. The morning of the run is a very busy time in the village with young and old taking pleasure seeing the well turned out vintage tractors. This year’s run is in aid of the Conor Harnett Fund. All support is appreciated and welcome.
CLUBS AND ORGANISATIONS
This is the time of year that people join new clubs and organisations. If you run or host a club in the parish and wish to promote your events or meetings please email killavullennews@ gmail.com. for 8 weeks starting mid-September. Classes will be on Thursdays from 7.00pm to 8.30pm. Fee is €130 payable on the first day of the course. Any queries, please contact Alicia at aliciaprado.business@gmail.com

CURRENT TRAINING SCHEDULE: U12– Friday 6 – 7pm, U14– Wednesday – 6- 7pm, U16– Tuesday – 6.30 – 7.30pm
Minors, U21 and Juniors– be confirmed by weekly texts.
U8 & U10– Saturdays 10am – 11am. Will be confirmed by text weekly as Blitzes may be played at this scheduled time. Please ensure you are included in the text list. Please remember gum shields are compulsory. Please bring water to training.
RESULTS: U12 County League: Hard luck to our U-12 to girls this evening in the first of their 3 county league games. It wasn’t to be in the end. Great work rate until the final whistle. Thanks to Douglas for a sporting game.
U16 County Quarter Final: hard luck to our U-16 team Coaches and mentors who were defeated on Sunday night last in the County Quarter Final. On the night it wasn’t to be for our girls but they fought hard and never gave up until the final whistle. Well done to Aghada LGFC on a great sporting game of football and best of luck in the semi final.
U16 North Final: A massive congratulations to our U16 girls, their trainers & mentors on a fantastic win in the North Cork Final last Tuesday night in Mourneabbey where they defeated Killavullen on a score line of 4-9 to 1-11. Huge effort by all the girls to claim the win in a hard fought game against Killavullen. Thanks to Killavullen for a great sporting and very enjoyable game of football. Well done to all involved.
KILSHANNIG BLITZ: Well done to our U8 & U10 & U12 girls who really enjoyed their day out last Sunday in the blitz ran as part of the Kilshannig Harvest Fair. Thanks to all involved for a great day.
U15 BLITZ: Well done to our girls involved in the inter divisional U-15 CorkLGFA Development Blitz last Saturday in CIT. Also well done to to their coaches including our own Alan Gould who is involved with the programme.
