The Community Council is currently involved. In the development of “A River Side/Boardwalk Developmment” along the bank of the “River Awbeg” which will enhance the appointed areawhich contains “The Franciscan Friary/Abbey” “Saint Marys’ Church” “The Mill Weir” and “The Local Mill” buildings and the development of the “Ancient Walled Town Reminants”adding an extra dimension to Buttevants’ future academically commercially and general “Joie de Vivre”.

What now needs to be done for the wellbeing of Buttevant and its future advancement is to stand”shouldertoshoulder”and support our Community Council Association whose committee members are local volunteers who give of their free time to be part of a community association. We all need to have “Prideof Place” in our area where we live shop work play and socialise volunteerrespect our neighbours and care for our senior citizens who may be living alone and infirmand would welcome a call for company nowand again
