London Association to honour former Bishop

THE London- Cork Association will make a special presentation to the retired Bishop of Cork, Dr John Buckley, during an event taking place at the Blackrock Castle Observatory on Saturday, October 12, from 7pm.

The association’s liaison officer, Joe Quinn, said they would be making the presentation to the former bishop to mark the work he did for them over the years during his time as patron of the association.

“He was over with us in London on a number of occasions and we hope the night will be a great reunion,” said Mr Quinn.

The presentation will be followed by a meal, which is set to be attended by a number of members of the association.
