Anna Geary lined up for slot on Today FM
FORMER The Corkman columnist Anna Geary is set to leave her Sunday evening show on Cork’s Red FM to host a daytime show on Today FM.
A source said the former Cork camogie star, who will wed her fiancé Kevin Sexton in October, will be a huge loss to Red FM.
“She is really looking forward to the new challenge.
“She is starting a new chapter in her life in every sense of the word – getting married, moving house and starting a new job,” they said.
The former Cork Rose said earlier this year she was thrilled to be asked to join the Red FM team.
“I have always loved radio because I think it is a real intimate way of communicating with people,” she said. “Radio is more challenging than TV. On the radio it is just your voice and you can’t distract people with what you’re wearing. I have been bitten by the radio bug.”
