Rebel Óg organising brand new skills competition

REBEL Óg Coaching are organising a new football skills competition for underage club players.

Aimed at under 12 / 13 / 14 age groups, the competition is designed to test players kicking abilities off right and left feet. The test is simple to set up and each player gets five kicks from his left and right leg, 10 kicks in total.

All clubs are encouraged to set up the test and run it at their club grounds on or before this Friday. The top three players from an age group progresses to a divisional final to be held on or before October 13. The county finals will take place amongst eight divisional winners on the week ending October 20.

Winners at Divisional level will receive a specially commissioned top to mark their success. Co Op Superstores have come on board as sponsors of the event, clubs are encouraged to organise their skills test.

The top three players in each age group should be nominated to go forward to the Divisional finals as a team to represent the club.
