TRANCHE 15 of the TAMS II deadline runs until Friday, October 4 which means there is still time for you to make an application. By installing a photovoltaic solar systems under the Targeted Agricultural Modernisation Scheme (TAMS), you will create significant energy saving costs and improve overall efficiency on your farm. This Government led initiative means that over €10 million worth of grants is available for energy efficiencies and renewable energy technologies. This follows a comprehensive review of the TAMS scheme and is designed to increase its focus on sustainability.
Martin Gilroy explains that an initial pilot TAMS grant of up to €9,300 - or up to 60% of the overall cost to fund a 6kWp solar system – is now available.
