TRANCHE 15 of the TAMS II deadline runs until Friday, October 4 which means there is still time for you to make an application. By installing a photovoltaic solar systems under the Targeted Agricultural Modernisation Scheme (TAMS), you will create significant energy saving costs and improve overall efficiency on your farm. Moreover, you may also wish to know that an SEAI grant can significantly reduce energy costs in your home or business.

Gilroys.ie are experts in renewable energy solutions having installed photovoltaic (PV) solar systems on farms, homes and businesses all over Ireland.

This Government led initiative means that over €10 million worth of grants is available for energy efficiencies and renewable energy technologies. This follows a comprehensive review of the TAMS scheme and is designed to increase its focus on sustainability.

Martin Gilroy explains that an initial pilot TAMS grant of up to €9,300 - or up to 60% of the overall cost to fund a 6kWp solar system – is now available. Moreover, a Gilroy’s 11KWH photovoltaic solar system can be fixed in any dairy farm and will generate over 288,750KWH, thus saving farmers €139,411 on their energy bills. This is good news in any line of business, plus you will be reducing your Co2 carbon footprint by 173,745kG over the first 25-years after installment.

The TAMS scheme is already a significant investor in improving energy efficiency on Irish farms and the Government plans to keep the scheme under constant review. Any new and emerging technologies will continue to be monitored with a view to their inclusion in future if feasible.

Gilroys.ie also provide a service for the Sustainable Energy Authority of Ireland (SEAI) grant. Up to €3,800 is available for residential (home owners) to install photovoltaic solar systems with battery storage systems. Gilroys.ie will do all the paperwork for the SEAI grant department. Moreover, Gilroys.ie can wait for the grant payment so the client does not have to pay up front and wait on their payment.

“We are offering photovoltaic solar system(s) supplied, installed and commissioned from under €4,000,” said Martin Gilroy. “We have worked this saving out over a 25-year period as all of our photovoltaic solar panels come with a 25-year guarantee. As for the SEAI grant, it is a great incentive for homeowners to consider and discover the benefits of solar energy. We assure and guarantee customers that our years of experience will be used to install panels in a professional and efficient way.”
