Millstreet tees up for classic

MILLSTREET GAA hosts its annual golf classic, scheduled for O’Mahony Point, Killarney on this Saturday.

The format will comprise of a three-person team – male, female or mixed – with tee times on a first come, first served basis.

The cost for a team is €200 with the opportunity also available for business outlets to sponsor a tee box or green for €50.

The quality of prizes along with the opportunity to play on a course with spectacular views of the famous Killarney lakes, overlooked by the McGillicuddy Reeks, always makes for a special occasion.

The golf classic could not be held without the support of generous sponsors, and Millstreet club acknowledge the backing of their six main sponsors of the day, namely Cloverhill Foods, Colemans Millstreet, Bush Bar, Claramore Construction, Tarrant Undertakers and Donagh Hickey Motors.

“We also wish to thank the business of Millstreet and surrounding areas who sponsor tee boxes and greens. The support of each of these businesses is appreciated by the club as we are fully aware of the financial demands that are made on businesses on a daily basis”, said club secretary Sharon Lane.
