G.A.A. NEWS

Clondrohid Under 12’s played Glengarriff last week in Championship Football. This merry band of players travelled to Glengarriff and played a cracker of a game, started strong and banged in 2 early goals which were the result of some very good link up play. Glengarriff then got a couple of their own scores to bring them back into the game. The game was back and forth and Clondrohid took advantage of a bit of good fortune and banged in another goal and with the half time whistle we led 4 goals 2 points to 2 goals 2 points.

The second half picked up where the first half finished with hard tackling, great blocking and great saves all thrown into the mix. The Glen picked up a couple of goals with some very good quality play. But the Clondrohid team showed some amount of heart and kicked on again winning out Clondrohid 5 goals 5 points Glengarriff 5 goals 3 points. Thanks as always to the parents for travelling and supporting the team. A massive thank you to Peter and the Glengarriff club for a great sporting game and the much appreciated refreshments after the game
