Finalists of North Cork Business & Tourism Awards 2019 revealed

THE finalists in each of the 10 awards categories for the inaugural North Cork Business & Tourism Awards have been announced.

The Awards, which are being run by Cork County Council in association with AIB and The Corkman, received over 80 entries across 11 categories, with 63 different businesses and organisations taking part.

The panel of six judges had a tough task due to the high standard of entries and have now shortlisted three finalists for each category, rising to four in some where the standard of entries was simply too high to choose.

The next stage for finalists is the ‘Pitch Night’ which will be held at AIB Mallow on Wednesday, October 16, from 6pm. This is an opportunity for the finalists to really sell their businesses to the judges.

Following the pitch night, the judges will choose an overall winner from each category, and these will be announced at a special Gala Awards Dinner at The Charleville Park Hotel on Friday, November 22, with TV presenter Síle Seoige as guest MC.

The evening kicks off with a drinks reception followed by a four-course meal. Immediately after, the awards presentations will commence, leading up to the announcement of the overall 2019 North Cork Business of the Year award and the presentation of the Outstanding North Cork Business Ambassador award.

All finalists will receive two complimentary tickets to the Gala Awards Dinner, and there is an opportunity to buy additional tickets for staff.
