Cullen remain on track in Junior B league

CULLEN’S greater scoring power emerged a key factor on recording a comfortable win over Millstreet in the Duhallow Junior B Football League at Millstreet.
On doing so, Cullen remain in contention for the playoff stages, the visitors achieved their target thanks to a productive spell after the interval and gaining a worthy return to the scoreboard.
Cullen began on a brisk note on Brian O’Connell, Gearóid Twomey and Alan O’Regan shooring points. For a spell, Millstreet remained in contention with Tadgh Collins and Barry O’Flynn pointing s Cullen ‘keeper Fachtna O’Connor was called into duty with a number of timely interventions.
A goal did surface, Twomey fired home for a crucial Cullen strike to hold a 1-5 to 0-4 advantage at the break. On the restar, Cullen asserted themselves quickly and gained control from the pursuits of Daire Twomey, Francis Cronin, Cathal Kelleher and Gearóid Twomey.
