MAGIC THROUGH THE LENS

HAVING swung back into action following its summer break, Fermoy Camera Club will hold an exhibition of stunning images captured by members that will run until the end of the year.

The exhibition, which is being hosted by the Blackwater Valley Makers in their premises on Pearse Square, will be officially opening at 7pm on Friday evening by Echo editor Maurice Gubbins.

It will feature more than 100 colourful and thought provoking images, covering a wide variety of subjects, some of which can be seen on this page. Visitors will also have the option of buying a copy of any photograph that may take their fancy.

“We are indebted to all at Blackwater Valley Makers for giving us this wonderful opportunity and we invite everyone to come along to see a sample of our work and maybe find a nice Christmas gift,” said club PRO Helen Arnold.

Helen said she hoped the exhibition would also encourage more people to take up photography and join the club’s ranks.

“The enjoyment of photography has always been at the very heart of the club, with members going away on regular field trips and enjoying presentations by professional photographers. The club is open and friendly, with a heavy emphasis of having fun while at the same time being respectful of each others talents,” she said.
