ON Tuesday night Kildorrery had a 1-12 to 0-10 win over Fermoy in the Junior C Hurling Championsh­ip semi-final in Kildorrery.

The winners led all through. By half time they were four points clear at 0-7 to 0-3.

A goal early on the resumption by Eamonn O’Connor set them on their way to a 1-12 to 0-10 win.

The scorers were: Tiernan Condon, 0-5f; Eamonn O’Connor, 1-0; Mattie Walsh- O’Grady, 0-2; Stephen Coughlan, 0-2; David Hunter, 0-2; Richie Hurley, 0-1f; The lineout was as follows: Dave Roche, Jason Walsh, Will Coffey, Tony Watson, Anthony Crowley, Michael Lillis, Fintan Daly, Richie Hurley, Mattie Walsh- O’Grady, Tiernan Condon, Stephen Coughlan, David Hunter, Michael Caplice, Eamonn O’Connor and Paddy Hartnett.

Subs used were Kieran Hurley for Michael Caplice; and Sean Cunningham for Paddy Hartnett.

On Saturday, Kildorrery and Liscarroll/Churchtown Gaels played in the final at Ballyhea. The sides were level 0-2 and 0-2 each after 8 minutes.

Kildorrery pushed on and led at the break to lead 1-8 to 0-4.

The Gaels tried hard to get back, coming within 1-11 to 0-9 at one stage.

The winners had three late points that gave a win by 1-14 to 0-9.

The scorers were: Tiernan Condon, 0-5 (0-3f ); Mattie Walsh- O’Grady, 1-1; Richie Hurley 0-3, 0-1f; Eamon O’Connor, 0-3; and David Hunter, 0-2.
