CHURCH CHOIR – The choir has resumed on Sunday at 11 a.m. Mass. New members are always welcome.
CEMETERY VISITATIONS – Prayers for the Faithful Departed will take place on Sunday and Sunday, November 10, and 17. Prayers will be said on Sunday, November 10, in Ballyhea Old Cemetery and Cooline and on Sunday, November 17, in St Mary’s (New Cemetery) and Imphrick. Ceremonies on both Sundays will take place after 11 a.m. Mass.
NOVEMBER SICK CALLS – The Sick Calls for November will be attended to on Friday, November 8, at the usual times.
NOVEMBER ALTAR LIST FOR THE HOLY SOULS – The new 2019-2020 Altar List for the Holy Souls is being compiled. Please forward the names of those you wish to have included in the new list. Purgatorial Society Forms are available in the church Porch.
DISPENSATION FROM SERVILE WORK – In view of the poor weather which we have experienced over the past few months, a general dispensation is granted from the obligation to abstain from all unnecessary servile work on Sundays and Holy Days of obligation, from Ascension Thursday till October 31.

GAELTACHT SCHOLARSHIPS
Applications are now being taken for the Gaeltacht Scholarship 2020. Note that this updated GAA Scholarship application form is required by the college with every application. This is important in order to verify the applications and to enforce the scheme on a first come first served basis. Please also be aware that the Cork scholarship scheme applies to Coláiste na Mumhan, Beal Atha’n Ghaorthaidh ONLY and does not apply to any other Gaeltacht college. MARYMOUNT COFFEE MORNING
The coffee morning and raffle held at the Corbett Court on Wednesday, October 23, was a great success. Many thanks to everyone who supported it in any way. To those who attended and everyone who subscribed to it, to those who donated prizes for the raffle. Thank you to Anna and especially Jackie for the preparation and use of the premises and for the help on the day. The amount collected so far is €1,000.
GAA NOTES
CLUB ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING – The club’s AGM will take place on Friday, November 29, at 8 p.m. Nomination Forms are currently being distributed. Completed nomination forms and motions for discussion are to be returned to the Runai, Ger O’Shea, Rathmorgan, Charleville, Co. Cork by 9 p.m. on Monday, November 11. Nomination Forms received after that time will not be accepted.
JUVENILE NORTH CORK PRIMARY SCHOOLS FINALS – Congratulations to the boys and girls’ teams of Ballyhea National School, who had the fantastic achievement of winning both their football finals in Mallow. Well done to all the players involved and to Mr O’Flynn for his hard work and dedication in training the children.
HALLOWEEN CAMP – The club held its annual Halloween coaching camp during the MidTerm School Break and was another great success. Thanks to everyone that took part, coached or helped out in any way.
CAMOGIE CLUB SPONSORS – A huge thank you to all the sponsors who contributed generously to the club training fund for the Junior ‘A’ County Final. Thanks also to everyone who contributed to the sponsored walk in Doneraile. Every contribution is very much appreciated.
LONDON COUNTY SENIOR HURLING FINAL – Congratulations to Jonathan McCarthy and Kieran Morrissey, who won the London County Senior Hurling title with Robert Emmets after a dramatic final.
