Tickets to the hottest gig in town this side of Christmas are selling out fast, thanks to Irish chart toppers Walking on Cars taking the stage at Cork City Hall in aid of CUH Children’s Unit. The four piece from Dingle who are currently on tour in Germany, will jet back to Cork to play an intimate acoustic set to headline the event on November 16th.

It’s also an opportunit­y for fans to see Glanmire native Stephanie Rainey live in concert ahead of her sold out dates at St Luke’s, while newcomers to the music scene Brave Giant who have just released their debut album White Pink and Blue are taking a night off their Irish tour to support this fundraiser.

The event will be hosted by Today FM’s Fergal Darcy, while Cork’s 96FM’s KC will be the night’s resident DJ. A number of additional, yet-to-be revealed special guests will also join

Fergal on stage throughout the night. “We are thrilled that some of the hottest names in Irish music have been so willing to give their time and make this fundraisin­g concert such an unmissable event!” said Michael Nason, CEO of CUH Charity. “All money raised from ticket sales will directly contribute towards equipment including an EEG machine, which diagnoses seizures and epilepsy, and an Echocardio­gram which can help pinpoint congenital heart disease.

“The existing Children’s Wards will also need be refurbishe­d as well as the Children’s Emergency Department – it is vital that we have excellent facilities at this critical and busy point of entry to the hospital.” At just €75 tickets are selling out fast, but the remaining few can by bought at https://cuh.clearbooki­ngs. com/ - event strictly over 18s.
