MICHAEL JONES R.I.P.

THE death took place on Friday, March 13 at Mallow General Hospital of Michael Jones of Meadow Grove.

Formerly of Kilbehenny, Michael is predecease­d by his sister Mary (Morrison) and survived by his wife Sadie, son Adrian, daughters Shirley, Jennifer and Helen, brothers Frank, John, Dan, and Paddy, sisters Eileen, Carmel, Kay and Ger, relations and friends.

Requiem Mass was celebrated in St. Mary’s Church was celebrated in St. Mary’s Church on Saturday, March 14 at 12 noon followed by burial in St. Gobnait’s Cemetery.

EILEEN CLUNE (nèe Hennessy) R.I.P.

THE death took place on Friday, March 13 at Nazareth House of Eileen Clune.

From Lower Beecher Street, Eileen is predecease­d by her husband John and survived by her sons Tony, Frank and Peter, daughter Anne, relations, neighbours and friends.

Requiem Mass was celebrated in St. Mary’s Church on Monday, March 16 at 12 noon followed by burial in St. Gobnait’s Cemetery.

NORA GRIFFIN (nèe Pigott) R.I.P.

THE death took place at the Mercy Hospital on Friday, March 13 of Nora Griffin, Connolly Avenue.

Formerly of Mitchelsto­wn, Nora is predecease­d by her husband Jim, son George, grandson Brian and survived by her sons John and James, daughter Ann, sister Anne, relations and friends.

Requiem Mass was celebrated in St. Mary’s Church at 2.30pm on Monday, March 16 followed by burial in Mitchelsto­wn Church Cemetery.

LIAM SAMPEY R.I.P.

THE death took place at Marymount University Hospice and Hospital on Monday, March 16 of Liam Sampey, Ballyellis.

Formerly from Roscommon, Liam was a former and well admired teacher at the Patrician Academy in Mallow.

Liam is survived by his wife Denise (nèe Gribbin), sons Ciaran, Martin and Paul, daughter Julie, sister Betty, relations, friends and neighbours.

In accordance with government guidelines a private funeral took place.

JEREMIAH O’SULLIVAN R.I.P.

THE death took place at Mallow General Hospital on Tuesday, March 17 of Jeremiah O’Sullivan of Carrigoon and formerly of Killarney and London.

Jeremiah is survived by his wife Julia, son Tim, daughter Hannah, brother Tim and sister Mary, relations and friends. In accordance with government guidelines a private funeral took place.

MARY NIAL O’SULLIVAN (nèe Walsh) R.I.P.

THE death took place following an accident of Mary Nial O’Sullivan on Wednesday, March 18. From Kanturk and formerly of Mallow.

Mary is predecease­d by her brother Jerry and survived by her husband Nial, sons Nigel and Damien, daughters Rose and Georgina, best friend Noreen, relations and friends. In accordance with government guidelines a private funeral took place.

NOELLE HANLEY R.I.P.

THE death took place at Nazareth House on Sunday, March 22 of Noelle Hanley.

Formerly of Fair Street, Noelle will always be remembered as a quiet and gentle woman who was admired in the community.

Noelle is survived by her cousins, neighbours and many friends. In accordance with government guidelines Noelle’s funeral took place privately.

JOHN WILLIAM COULTER. R.I.P.

THE death took place on Sunday, March 22 of John Coulter at his residence in Ballydahee­n.

John is predecease­d by his brother Charlie and sister Pamela (Ladd) and survived by his sisters Margaret (Bolsters) and Susan (Brennan), relations and a large circle of friends.

In an effort to follow best practice and guidelines with Covid-19 John’s funeral took place privately.
