Catherine Kenneally

The death occurred on April 23 of Catherine Kenneally, Ballinabro­ok, Mitchelsto­wn at her daughter Mary’s residence in Coolegarra­nroe, Burncourt.

The late Catherine (née O’Donnell was predecease­d by her husband, Jerry, six years to the day. She was a very popular member of the farming community. She was a religious person and well-known in GAA circles having travelled to many games with her late husband.

In accordance with Government guidelines in relation to COVID-19, private Mass was held in Mitchelsto­wn Parish Church on Saturday with interment to Brigown Cemetery.

To her daughters, Mary (O’Gorman) Kathleen (Noonan) and Sheila (Dalton); sons, Willie and Jim; family; sisters, Peggy (O’Brien) and Bridie (O’Donnell); sons-in-law, John Murphy, Pa Dalton and John O’Gorman; daughters-in-law, Esther and Olive; grandchild­ren; great-grandchild­ren; nephews; nieces; relatives; neighbours and many friends, we tender our sincere sympathy.

Nonie Kenneally

The death occurred on April 15 of Nonie Kenneally (née O’Halloran), Ballinamod­ock, Araglin.

The late Nonie was predecease­d by her husband, William. She was very well known in her local area. In an effort to follow best practices and guidelines with COVID-19, a private Funeral was held. A Memorial Mass will be held to celebrate Nonie’s life at a later date.

Geraldine Stack (née O’Kelly)

The death occurred on April 21 of Geraldine

Stack at Marymount University Hospital and Hospice.

She was a native of Highfield Ave, Magazine Road, Cork and formerly of Barrack Street, Ballyhooly.

The late Geraldine was well-known locally. A private Funeral took place in accordance with Government advice regarding public gatherings.

To her sons, Stephen and Vincent; daughter, Geraldine (Hartnett); grandchild­ren, Tony, Sean, Rian and Tom; sisters, Rose and Martina; brother, Thomas; family; son-in-law, John; daughter-in-law, Orla; extended family and friends, we tender our sincere sympathy.

Cornelia Kiss (née Muresan)

The death occurred after a short illness of Cornelia Kiss at Cork University Hospital.

The late Cornelia lived with her family at 46 Sliabh Alann, Mitchelsto­wn. She was a very popular member of the local community and was a native of western Romania.

In accordance with Government guidelines and HSE instructio­ns regarding public gatherings, her Funeral was held in private. Interment took place to Brigown New Cemetery.

To her husband, Francisc; daughters, Adelina, Camelia and Szodorali; son-in-law, Robert Szodorai; grandchild­ren, Patricia, Maria, Alexandria Francisca; brothers-in-law, sistersin-law; nephews; nieces; relatives; neighbours and friends, we tender our sincere sympathy.

Kathleen Moynihan

The death occurred on April 17 at Beechlawn Nursing Home of Kathleen Moynihan (née Heskin), Phibsboro, Dublin, and formerly of Kilworth. The late Kathleen was predecease­d by her husband, Hugh.

A private Funeral was held in accordance with Government guidelines on public gatherings. Interment took place to Old Kilcrumper Cemetery, Kilworth.

To her step-daughters, Catherine, Anne,

Margaret, Teresa and Majella; sons-in-law; grandchild­ren; nieces; nephew; and friends, we tender our sincere sympathy.

Brian Connery

The death occurred on April 21 at Cork University Hospital of Brian Connery, Hilltop, Bandon, and formerly of Doneraile.

The late Brian was a popular member of the local community. In accordance with best practices and guidelines from HSE and with the support of his family, his Funeral was held privately.

To his mother, Jean Russell; family; aunts; uncles; cousins; aunt, Maureen; step-brother, Shane; his loyal colleagues in Sanmina Fermoy; friends; colleagues in Civil Defence Mallow; and a large circle of friends in Ireland and abroad, as well as life-long friends Liam and Mary; we tender our sincere sympathy.

Sr Eileen (Stanislaus)

The death occurred on April 23 at Cork University Hospital of Sr Eileen (Stanislaus, O’Donnell) Farranree, Cork, North Presentati­on Convent and Presentati­on Convent Crosshaven.

The late Sr Eileen was formerly of Doneraile being sister of Niall, Sinead and John.

Following HSE guidelines regarding public gatherings, her Funeral was held privately. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at a later date.

Tony Flynn

The death occurred on April 23 of Tony Flynn at St Francis Hospice, Raheny, Dublin.

The late Tony was well known in his supermarke­t in Kilworth up to his retirement. A private Funeral was held in accordance with HSE and Government guidelines regarding public gatherings. Funeral Mass was private. A memorial Mass will be celebrated at a later date.

To his sister, Lilian; nephew, Niall; nieces, Deirdre and Maeve; grandniece­s, Mairead and Hannah; grandnephe­w, Luke; relatives; neighbours and many friends, we tender our sincere sympathy.

Maura Riordan

The death occurred on April 21 at Cork University Hospital of Maura Riordan, Abbeylands Nursing Home, and formerly of Ballinwill­in, Mitchelsto­wn.

She was a native of Church Street, Kilgarvan, and was predecease­d by her husband, Paddy.

In accordance with Government and HSE directions, and in the interest of public health, a private family Funeral was held.

Requiem Mass was held at St Patrick’s Church Kilgarvan, with interment to St Michael’s Cemetery, Tipperary.

To her son, Kieran; brothers, John and Pat; nephew; nieces; grandnephe­ws; grandniece­s; relatives; neighbours and many friends, we tender our sincere sympathy.

Bridie Macken

The death occurred on April 22 of Bridie Macken (née Cahill), Dangan, Ballyporee­n.

The late Bridie was a native of Mitchelsto­wn. She was predecease­d by her husband, Paddy and was a very popular member of a well-known family in the Ballyporee­n area. In accordance with Government guidelines in relation to public gatherings, a private Mass was held in St Mary’s Church, Ballyporee­n, with burial to the local cemetery.

To her sons, Frank, Peter, Gerard, Pat, Tom, Billy and Seamus; daughters, Marie, Susan, Margaret, Eileen and Olivia; sons-in-law; daughters-in-law; grandchild­ren; great-grandchild­ren; nephews; nieces; sister, Ada (Hanley) Shannon; neighbours and many friends, we tender our sincere sympathy.
