Cloyne pilgrimage to Lourdes

AS the annual Cloyne pilgrimage to Lourdes cannot physically take place this year, a virtual pilgrimage has been organized instead.

The itinerary can be accessed on the Cloyne diocese website by simply googling the words “Cloyne Diocese Website” (or by going to the web address which is simply cloynedioc­ese.ie.) and clicking on the links to the various Churches from where the ceremonies are being broadcast. The itinerary allows you to virtually attend the pilgrimage by watching the services live online from around the Cloyne Diocese.

The itinerary is as follows: On Saturday 30th of May, the opening Mass will be celebrated by Most Rev. William Crean D.D., Bishop of Cloyne at 9.00am and Rosary and Healing Service. Led by: Canon Donal O’Mahony P.P., Charlevill­e at 8.00pm.

On Sunday 31st of May, Pentecost Sunday, Mass will be celebrated by Fr. Tobias Bluitt P.P.,V.F., in Kanturk at 10.00am. The Stations of the Cross will also be held in Kanturk at 4.00pm.

On Monday 1st of June the Grotto Mass will be celebrated by Fr. Damien Lynch, C.C., Berrings at 10.00am. Mass for deceased members of Cloyne Hospitalit­y will be celebrated by Canon Donal Roberts P.P., V.F., Macroom at 7.30 pm

On Tuesday 2nd of June, Mass for the Sick will be celebrated by Fr. Patrick O’Donoghue C.C., Mitchelsto­wn at 10.00 am and Holy Hour led by Fr. Eamonn McCarthy, Radio Maria Ireland at 8 pm.

On Wednesday 3rd of June, the closing Mass will be celebrated by Fr. Tobias Bluitt P.P., V.F., Kanturk with a concluding address by Mr Thomas Conway, President of the Cloyne/Lourdes Hospitalit­y at the end of Mass. This Mass will be held at 10.00am
