Sheila Kiely

The death occurred on May 18 at Bon Secours Hospital, Cork, of Sheila Kiely (née Cronin) Ballinwill­in, Mitchelsto­wn and formerly of Knockadea, Ballylande­rs.

The late Sheila was well-known locally. She was predecease­d by her husband, John. She was a member of the ICA in Mitchelsto­wn and was great family person.

She was a religious lady and visited Knock a few times each year.

Due to best practices and in an effort to follow HSE guidelines, her Funeral from the family home was held in private. Many people lined the street as the cortége made its way to the Parish Church for her Requiem Mass.

To her daughters, Philomena and Mary; sons, Cyril, Sean and Barry; daughters-in-law; grandchild­ren, Emma, Ciara, Abbey, Anthony and

Mary Borgia Clancy

The death occurred on May 22 at Tara Care Centre, Bray, of Sr Mary Borgia Clancy, Loreto Sisters, Dalkey and formerly Loreto, St Stephen’s Green. She a native of Cooleregan, Mitchelsto­wn.

The late Sr Mary was predecease­d by her brother, Tom, and sister, Nell. In an effort to follow best practices and HSE guidelines, her Funeral was held in private. Requiem Mass in Mitchelsto­wn Parish Church on Monday with burial to the adjoining cemetery.

To her Loreto Community, Dalkey; niece-in-law, Marie; nephews-in-law; grandniece­s; grandnephe­ws; relatives; neighbours; and friends, we tender our sincere sympathy.

Patrick Dingivan

The death occurred recently in London of Patrick Dingivan, a native of Fermoy. Due to COVID-19 a Mass will be celebrated at a later date in June. Cremation took place in London.

To his son, Darren; daughters, Sharon and Karen; brothers; sisters; nephews; nieces; relatives; neighbours and friends, we tender our sincere sympathy.

Thomas Horgan

The death occurred on May 21 of Thomas Horgan, Rockview, Doneraile at the Mercy University Hospital Cork.

The late Thomas was a popular member of the local community. Due to Government advise on public gatherings, Thomas’s funeral was held in private. Interment took place to Oldcourt Cemetery.

To his brothers Paddy and Eamonn; sisters, Breda, and Ber; family; sisterin-law, Catherine; brothers-in-law, Seamus, Davy, William and Jerry; nieces; nephews; grandniece­s; grandnephe­ws; cousins; extended family; neighbours and friends, we tender our sincere sympathy.

John ‘Jackie’ O’Shea

Thje death occurred on May 21 of John (Jackie) O’Shea Castlepark, Ballincoll­ig, and formerly of Doneraile.

The late John was a popular member of the community.

Due to current Government advice and HSE guidelines, John’s Funeral was held privately.

Peg Ryan

The death occurred on May 20 at Abbeylands Nursing Home, Kildorrery, of Peg Ryan (née Dwane), Ahacross, Kildorrery.

The late Peg was predecease­d by her husband, Joe.

She was a very popular member of the local community. Due to COVID-19 restrictio­ns and in accordance with Government and HSE guidelines in relation to public gatherings, her funeral was held in private. Interment took place to St.Mollogga’s Cemetery on Saturday.

To her sister, Sheila; brother-in-law, Jim Finn; nieces, Julie O’Brien and Eileen Ryan; nephews, Ray Condon, and Denis Finn; extended family; neighbours and many friends, we tender our sincere sympathy.
