Macroom in both senior and junior MSL Leagues for the first time

MSL Season Start - This coming weekend sees the beginning of the Munster Senior league season. Macroom FC will take its place in the senior and junior leagues for the first time. The senior team will begin with a home fixture in the Keane Cup versus Lakewood Athletic, Saturday, August 15, 3pm. The junior team will travel away to Ballincollig on Sunday, August 16, in the Junior League Cup, kick off at Landing Field is 10.45am.

*Covid 19 compliance officers will be in attendance and monitoring these venues and numbers will be limited as per current public health guidelines

Lotto Return - Following a number of false starts the Macroom FC weekly lotto draw is all set to resume on August 17th.

The last few months have been difficult and in normal circumstances this time of the year is a busy financial time for the club. As teams prepare on the field for the new season, off it items like pitch maintenance and league registration and affiliation need to be completed. The weekly lotto has been a fantastic fundraising activity for the club over many years and today it is more vital than ever. Lotto tickets are now on sale in retail outlets around the town and the club thanks these businesses for the support. In turn they encourage everyone to support those businesses.

The online lotto option which we launched in Oct 2019 has been an important step. With Covid 19 ongoing, online purchases in general have soared. It can be accessed by visiting www.macroomfc. ie, Facebook or by using the Clubforce app. There is also a link to the lotto on the membership page. Thousands of people visited the page since March and Macroom FC drew a €50 winner each week.

As a football club exclusively run by volunteers, the club offers a fantastic product to children (over 500 registered last year) and adults. The club has 24 teams and is doing all it can to provide a safe and enjoyable environment where football can be played.

Membership 2020/21 season - The online membership portal is now open for the coming season. Please visit the Clubforce App which can be accessed through macroomfc.ie. Prices begin at €50 for the first child, €25 for the second and a family membership costs €100 .

Non playing members and supporters can become a member for just €25.
