Local lotto back after five months

THE Millstreet Youth Amenity, Millstreet Town Park and Millstreet GAA Lotto returns this week and the first draw since a shutdown owing to the Coronaviru­s takes place on Sunday night in the Wallis Arms Hotel.

The first draw is for all tickets sold for March 15 but due to the lockdown, that draw had to be cancelled. All ticket sellers who hold tickets for March 15th are asked to drop them to the Wallis Arms on Sunday night at 9.30pm as usual.

For patrons, there remains tickets available in shops and with sellers to purchase for this draw if required, the jackpot stands at €8,200 with numerous consolatio­n prizes on offer.

Last year marked the 25th Anniversar­y of the founding of the Millstreet Lotto and the progress over those years has been phenomenal on supporting various projects within the community.

Indeed, the tremendous interest in the local Lotto is proving an effective way of raising the funds needed to improve sporting and recreation­al facilities. Millstreet Community Council have developed a Gym, Curious Minds Child Care facility, Astro-turf, upgrading Childrens Playground in addition to the provision of many other services that provide enjoyable activity for young and old.

The Lotto returns on Sunday, August 16, the Jackpot is €8,200, tickets will be available at business outlets and the draw operates in the Wallis Arms Hotel. Tickets for the following draw dated August 23 will be distribute­d to all sellers and outlets in due course.
