Archbishop Crotty makes step-up

ON AUGUST 15, Monsignor Michael Crotty, a native of Skeheen, Mitchelstown, was ordained Archbishop in Cloyne Cathedral. The newly appointed Archbishop will be the Apostolic Nuncio to Burkina Faso.

He has been serving in the diplomatic services of the Holy See since 2001. There was a large attendance at a Mass in Mitchelstown Parish Church on Monday night. Refreshments and a get-together were held in Forrest Hall to mark the happy occasion.
