MEMORY BOOK

Castlemagner CDA is presently planning for the publication of the memory book “When I was about knee high”. Still this week we received a few more precious contributions, we will accept them all. We hope to include some photos of well known places around the parish among them. Thanks to everyone for the great response.

LEGION OF MARY

Castlemagner Legion of Mary are a small group at present. We would like to welcome new members to join our weekly half hour meeting.

From September it is hoped to meet at the church on Monday evenings at 7pm to say the Rosary, a few prayers and read a little from the Legion book. All Covid protocols will apply. We are trying to ensure we keep the Legion group going in Castlemagner where Venerable Edel Quinn was born. Please contact Mary O’Sullivan 086-0717761 if you are interested.

TIDY TOWNS

Castlemagner Tidy Towns are proposing that the clean up on September 1st focuses on the Cecilstown area. All welcome, please spread the word.

Tidy Towns are also organising an Autumn Parish Clean up for the end of September, date to be confirmed. As always the cleanup will be conducted in accordance with government health guidelines with respect to Covid-19.
