BLOOD DONATION CLINIC

Please take note that anyone wishing to donate blood can now do so locally in Clondrohid. The Service will visit the Community Hall on Monday and Tuesday Sept 7 and 8.

The times will be 3.15pm to 8pm each day. Please take note you cannot just drop in as hitherto, Clinics are by appointmen­t only. To book your appointmen­t call 0214807400. or visit www. giveblood.ie for more info. Donors must arrive on time as this regulates social distancing Donors aged 70 or over cannot donate for now. If you have/had any symptoms of Covid 19 you must be fully recovered for 28 days before you can donate. You may wear a mask , but not while donating.. Staff will be wearing appropriat­e ppe.

This is a great Service, and everyone who can donate should do so. It is also great to have this important Service coming to our own locality, in our local Community Hall.So anyone who is already a donor might find this venue more suitable and all first time donors will be most welcome. This venue might suit people, not only from Clondrohid and surrounds but from Macroom and adjoining areas as well, all will be welcome. Parking will not be a problem. The Civil Defence will be in attendance to assist with Covid regulation­s, so rest assured, you will feel safe. Please support.

Please take note the 11am Mass in Ballyvourn­ey on Sunday August 30 will be televised on RTE 1.Lovely occasion of local interest.

Clondrohid GAA Lotto Draw recommence­d last Wednesday Aug 26 after a long break due to Covid. Tickets are for sale in the usual local outlets together with McCarthy’s Fruit & Veg in the Square, Macroom. Jackpot €7,000. Please spread the word.
