THE LATE DONAL SMITH

The death occurred on September 19 of Donal Smith at Cork University Hospital. The late Donal in his 83rd year had been ill for a very short time. He resided with his family at Brigown Road, Mitchelsto­wn. He was a popular member of the Community and was a member of the Credit Union for many years.

His funeral was held in private in accordance with Government guidelines and HSE regulation­s regarding public gatherings (Covid 19). His Requiem Mass took place on Tuesday in the Parish Church with Cremation at the Island Crematoriu­m. To his wife Cecelia (Nee Corbett) son Barry, daughters Joanne, Orla, Avril, sons in law David (Linnane) David (Browne) grandchild­ren Evie, Ally, Kalen, Noah, sisters in law, nephews, nieces, relatives, neighbours and friends we tender our sincere sympathy.

THE LATE MICHAEL KILKENNY

The death occurred on September 17 at Mallow General Hospital of Michael Kilkenny, Clonmel Road, Mitchelsto­wn and formerly of

Manorhamil­ton Co Leitrim. The late Michael was predecease­d by his wife Anna. He was a popular member of the local community being employed at Mitchelsto­wn Creameries up to his retirement.

His funeral was held in private in accordance with Government guidelines and HSE regulation­s regarding public gatherings (Covid 19).

Requiem Mass was held on Monday in the Parish Church with burial to the nearby adjoining cemetery.

To his sons Noel, Andrew, Jerome, Darren, daughters Trish (Curtin) Marcella (Linehan) Emma, brother Patsy, sister Carmel, sons in law John, Ger, Joe, daughters in law Sabha, Deirdre, grandchild­ren Aisling, Eoin, Ryan, Cian, Conor, Cormac, Aoife, Ronan, Gearoid, Aoife, Aisling’s husband Ronan, great grandchild­ren Oscar, Rian, brothers in law Gerard, Eddie, sisters in law May, Teresa, Marie, Melda, nephews, nieces relatives neighbours and friends we tender our sincere sympathy.

THE LATE THOMAS (TOMMY) DEVONSHIRE

The death occurred suddenly at his residence in Rathcarrig, Fermoy on September 13 of Thomas (Tommy) Devonshire.

Tommy’s funeral was held in private in accordance with Government guidelines and HSE regulation­s regarding public gatherings (Covid 19).

Funeral was held privately at Ronayne’s Funeral Home on Wednesday with Requiem Mass on Thursday at St Patrick’s Church Fermoy. Funeral took place to Rathcormac Cemetery. To his mother, sisters, Margaret, Stephanie (Mitchelsto­wn) partner Denny, brother in law Paddy ((Mitchelsto­wn) nephews, nieces cousins extended family and friends we tender our sincere sympathy.

THE LATE BRENDAN AHERNE

The death occurred on September 14 of Brendan Aherne, Upper Lissivigee­n Killarney and formerly of Fermoy.

The late Brendan’s funeral was held in private with Requiem Mass in St. Mary’s Cathedral Killarney on Wednesday with funeral to Rathmore Cemetery.

To his wife Noreen (nee Wiseman) daughter Jenny, sons Jason, Rory, siblings Marion, Noel, Joe, Ger, Catherine,Anthony, Judith, nephews, nieces, brothers in law, sisters in law, extended family and many kind neighbours we extend our sincere sympathy,

THE LATE ARTHUR HOLMES

The death occurred at his residence St Bernard’s Place Fermoy of Arthur Holmes. The late Arthur also lived previously at Cork Road Fermoy.

He was a popular member of the local community. His funeral was held privately in accordance with Government guidelines and HSE regulation­s regarding public gatherings (Covid 19). Requiem

Mass was held in the Queen of Peace Church Dublin Road Fermoy on Wednesday with burial to Kilcrumper Old Cemetery. To his nephew Arthur O’Halloran, nephews, nieces, grandnephe­ws, grandniece­s relatives neighbours and friends we tender our sincere sympathy.
