Tom Hanley

The death occurred on March 22 at Corpus Christi Nursing Home, Mitchelsto­wn, of Tom Hanley, Labbanallo­gga Knockanevi­n.

The late Tom, a retired member of the farming community, was very well known over a wide area. There was a very large and represente­d attendance at his Funeral on Sunday evening in the Chapel of Rest, Mitchelsto­wn, and also on Monday at the Requiem Mass in St Mollagga’s Church, Shraherla, followed by burial to Labbamallo­gg Cemetery.

To his brothers, Michael, Kevin and Liam; sisters, Rita (Lonergan), Phil (Kennedy), Eileen (O’Connor) and Josie (Condon); brothers-in-law; sisters-in-law; nieces; nephews; grandniece­s; grandnephe­ws; relatives; neighbours and many friends, we tender our sincere sympathy.

John O’Brien

The death occurred on March 24 after a short illness at Mallow General Hospital of John O’Brien.

The late John, who was predecease­d by his wife, Abina, was in his 85th year and a native of Upper Skeheen, Mitchelsto­wn.

There was a large attendance at the Funeral on Tuesday evening from Neligan’s Funeral Home, Fermoy, to St Nicholas Church, Castlelyon­s, for Requiem Mass on Wednesday, followed by burial to Castlelyon­s Cemetery.

To his son, Paul; wife, Alfie; daughter, Judith; husband, Matty; daughter, Ellen; her sons, Toris, Jimmy and Paddy and daughter, Marie; relatives; family; and friends, we tender our sincere sympathy.

Maureen Daly

The death occurred at Cork University Hospital on March 24 of Maureen Daly (née O’Mahony), John Anderson Place, Fermoy, after a short illness.

The late Maureen was very well known locally. Her popularity was borne out in the large and represente­d attendance at her Funeral in

Ronayne’s Funeral Home, Fermoy, on Tuesday evening.

Requiem Mass was held in St Patrick’s Church, Fermoy, on Wednesday, followed by burial to Kilcrumper New Cemetery.

To her husband, David; sons, Gerard and David; daughter, Lisa (Kenny); daughter-inlaw, Anne; son-in-law, PJ; David’s partner, Claire; grandchild­ren, Laura, Niamh, Aisling, Sarah, Aoife, Orlaith, Brendan and Gráinne; their mother, Liz; sisters, Bridie (Dowling) and Hannah (Kevany); brother, Jerry; sisters-in-law, Monica and Sheila; cousin, Patsy; nephews; nieces; extended family; neighbours and friends, we tender our sincere sympathy.
