The 2024 hurling championsh­ip promises to be an exciting one with all counties approachin­g the series of games with great hope and expectatio­ns. Discussion is raging across the country about each team’s prospects. To extend the debate and to receive insights from the greats of the game, the cast of Forrest Gump are holding a Munster Hurling Preview night on Good Friday 29th March in Hourigan’s Lounge, High Street, Newmarket at 8pm.

The legendary panellists for the night include Jamesie O’Connor – Clare, Seanie McGrath – Cork, Mark Foley – Limerick, Tony Considine – Clare and Jamie Coughlan – Cork with MC on the night Newmarket’s own Robert Stack.

Tickets are priced at €20 and are available in local outlets in Newmarket or online at www.ticketstop.ie. A fantastic night of debate, banter and fun is assured!

COLLECTION FOR BOYS SCHOOL

Newmarket Boys’ School Parents Assocation 30th and 31st March are holding their annual church gate collection in Newmarket and Taur on 30th and 31st March.

The collection goes towards supporting events run for the children throughout the year.
