Hotelier Aaron elected president of the Cork Business Association
CORK Business Association has announced Aaron Mansworth as the newly-appointed President of the Cork Business Association.
Aaron Mansworth is the current Managing Director of Trigon Hotel Group, which operates two hotels in Cork, The Metropole Hotel in the city centre and Cork International Hotel at Cork Airport.
He was unanimously elected at the 67 th CBA Annual General Meeting, where he identified a number of priorities for his term in office.
These include continuing to advocate for an events centre, more housing in the city and for initiatives that bring more tourists and business to the city.
“As I step into this role, I am mindful of the challenges and opportunities that lie ahead, and I am committed to ensuring Cork Business Association plays a pivotal role in our city’s growth and progress,” said Mr Mansworth.
“It is a privilege to follow in the footsteps of my predecessors, some exceptional business leaders, who have been serving this dynamic and vibrant business community for 67 years. Our new five-year strategy paves the way for exciting changes.”
Additionally, Dave O’Brien, a tax partner at Quintas, will step into the role of Vice President.
Members of CBA extended sincere gratitude towards Kevin J Herlihy for his tenure as President of CBA over the past two years.
“Kevin’s leadership was instrumental in guiding CBA through a comprehensive strategic review, paving the way for a new organisational structure and direction for the next five years, which Aaron will now spearhead,” the CBA said.
CBA says it supports businesses of all sizes in Cork and represents their interests with decision-making authorities at local and national level.
