Thursday 11th April ‘Sister Act’ Fashion Show Brings Down the House at An Culturlann.

Dressed in a stunning array of outfits provided by Linehan’s Fashions, O’Shea’s Fashions, Lady Lydia, and Noirin’s Boutique, local models strutted the catwalk, showcasing the latest trends including fabulous headpieces from NSJ Designs. Just before the interval, the audience was treated to an thoroughly entertaini­ng musical performanc­e as the nuns from ‘Sister Act’ took to the stage once more!

Friday April 12th - a sold out Make-Up Workshop was presented by the cast of ‘The Field’ at the James O’Keeffe Institute with local make up artist, Ber Stokes.

A native of Tullylease, Ber Stokes presented an insightful makeup workshop with her model Brenda to a sell out audience.

Everyone really enjoyed the afternoon which involved practical demonstrat­ions and hands on experience­s!

Laughter echoed, brains were buzzing, and the atmosphere was electric as The High Street Bar played host to a night of trivia and good old-fashioned fun on Friday 12th April as the cast of “Man About Dog” traded their scripts for quizmaster roles, treating attendees to a memorable evening.

The Culturlann Newmarket witnessed a fantastic evening of entertainm­ent on Sunday 14th April as the cast of “Forrest Gump” organised a spectacula­r variety concert.

It featured enchanting performanc­es by the students of Newmarket Girls National School, the captivatin­g voices of Meadhbh Walsh and Elle Marie O’Dwyer as well as the musical virtuosity of the O’Riordan family, Riona Sheahan, Cullen Ballad Group and All-Ireland musician Alan Finn.
