THE LATE CATHERINE DINEEN
The death occurred on April 10 of Catherine Dineen (Nee Cronin) Gortroe and formerly of Castletownroche. The late Catherine was a member of a well known family. There was a large attendance at her funeral on Saturday evening from Egan’s Funeral Home Youghal and also at the Requiem Mass on Sunday in St Ita’s Church Gortroe followed by burial to North Abbey Cemetery. To her husband Dan, children Andrew, Maurice, Yvonne, Dom, Johnny, grandchildren Rachel, Elsie, Kate, Daniel, Sarah Jane, Aoife, Rhianna, Corin, Leah Sophie, Jack, Harry Eviebelle, Nelly, great grandchild Leuan, sister Eileen (Eily O’Sullivan) husband Neilius, brother Denis, his wife Nuala daughters in law, sons in law Teresa, James Susan, Richard nieces, nephews extended family neighbours and many friends we tender our sincere sympathy.
THE LATE PATRICK (PATSY) O’DONOVAN
The death occurred on April 10 of Patrick (Patsy) O’Donovan, The Hill, Castletownroche, at Mallow General Hospital. The late Patsy was very well known locally. There was a large attendance at his funeral from O’Connell’s Funeral St James Ave Mallow on Thursday evening and also at the Requiem Mass and burial on Friday. Mass was held in the Church of the Immaculate Conception Castletownroche followed by burial to St Craebhnait’s Cemetery, Annakissa. To his brothers Dave, Tom, sister Kathleen (Foley) brothers in law Robert, Willie, sister Maureen, Tom’s partner Margaret, nieces, nephews, relatives neighbours and friends we tender our sincere sympathy.
THE LATE CATHERINE O’DRISCOLL
The death occurred on April 5 at Amberley Nursing Home Fermoy of Catherine O’Driscoll (Nee Rumley) Gurrane West Fermoy. The late Catherine was aged 87 she was predeceased by her husband Joe. She was a member of a popular family in the area. There was a large attendance at the removal from Neligan’s Funeral Home Fermoy on Sunday evening with removal to St Patrick’s Church Fermoy for Requiem Mass on Monday followed by burial to Rathcormac New Cemetery.
To her sons/daughters Mary, JJ, Liam, Helena, Denis and their families, brother Pa, his wife Mary, and their children, nieces, nephews grandnieces, grandnephews, relatives neighbours and friends wer tender our sincere sympathy.
THE LATE HELEN MASTERSON
The death occurred after an illness at Cork University Hospital Cork on April 6 of Helen Masterson (Nee Casey) Caherdrinna, Kilworth, and formerly Mitchelstown.
The late Helen was predeceased by her husband Ned. She was a member of a very well known family in both Mitchelstown and Caherdrinna areas.
Her popularity was borne out in the large and represented attendance at the removal on Monday evening from the Chapel of Rest Mitchelstown to Holy Cross Church Curraghagalla for Requiem Mass on Tuesday.
Interment took place to Brigown New Cemetery Mitchelstown. To her sons/daughters Yvonne, Norma, Eleanor, Michael, David, Kevin, sons in law Patrick, Dean, daughters in law Alison, Bridgie, Pauline, sisters/brothers John, Tommy, Jimmy, Breda (Fitzgerald), Mary (O’Brien) childrem grandchildren great grandchilkdren, brothers in law, sisters in law, nephews, nieces, relatives and a wide circle of friends we tender our sincere sympathy.
